Contract Type: Inside IR35 - Day Rate Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a leading organisation within the London Insurance Market , with a strong focus on the Reinsurance domain . This is an excellent opportunity for a data professional with deep technical expertise and proven experience supporting actuarial and finance projects . This role is offered Inside IR35 on a contract basis, requiring a mix of on-site presence in the City of London (3 days per week) and remote working. Key Responsibilities Interpret and analyse data, delivering insights and ongoing reports using advanced statistical techniques. Develop and implement robust databases, data collection systems, and analytics solutions that optimise efficiency and data quality. Acquire and manage data from primary and secondary sources; maintain and enhance databases and data pipelines. Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns within complex datasets. Ensure data quality by cleansing, validating, and correcting issues within datasets and reports. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to prioritise requirements and deliver actionable insights. Drive process improvement opportunities through data-led recommendations. Required Skills & Experience Proven background as a Data Analyst or similar, ideally within the London Insurance / Reinsurance market . Strong experience on actuarial and finance-related data projects. Hands-on expertise with Azure services, SQL, Python, and data warehousing . Proficiency in Power BI and/or Tableau for reporting and data visualisation. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret large, complex datasets. Strong knowledge of data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques. Experience with distributed computing tools such as Hadoop or Spark . Familiarity with advanced statistical methods (e.g. regression, distributions, statistical testing). Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is advantageous.
