Senior Data Analyst

Senior Systems Analyst, Data with Power BI Richmond, VA 12M+ Contract Rate: $65/hr on W2 to $75/hr on W2 only W2 , no C2C/1099: open for consultant who can work on W2 with PTR , without sponsorship. We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Senior Systems Analyst with a strong background in data analytics, warehousing, and science. This role is pivotal in driving our data initiatives, from defining requirements to designing and developing robust Power BI dashboards. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the planning, design, and development of new and enhanced data engineering, analytical, and data science applications. • Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather business requirements and define system objectives. • Design and develop impactful dashboards and reports using Power BI. • Formulate and refine procedures for complex data challenges, considering system limitations and business outcomes. • Operate independently on complex projects, providing technical leadership and guidance to less experienced analysts. • Create detailed system models, specifications, and documentation for programmers and end-users. • Coordinate and perform comprehensive testing, including end-user reviews, for new and modified systems. • Provide training and support to end-users and create engaging presentations for diverse audiences. Required Skills & Experience: • Minimum 7 years as a Systems Analyst in Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and Data Science projects. • Minimum 7 years of expertise in crafting complex SQL queries. • Minimum 5 years designing DataMarts, with a focus on Dimensional Modeling. • At least 3 years of experience in Power BI dashboard design and development. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation abilities. • Proven ability to work independently and implement solutions with minimal guidance.
