Role description
Adecco is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer with deep Looker expertise to support enterprise‑wide, sales‑focused analytics and reporting. This role will serve as the Looker SME, leading the ongoing migration from Power BI to Looker and ensuring high‑trust dashboards, clean data pipelines, and scalable analytics solutions. You’ll design and maintain cloud‑based data models and analytics datasets using BigQuery, dbt, and SQL, partnering closely with business and technical teams to deliver executive‑ready dashboards and self‑service analytics. The role involves improving data quality, optimizing pipelines, and owning LookML models, semantic layers, and certified datasets from end to end. You’ll also contribute to advanced analytics initiatives, including conversational analytics and AI‑enabled reporting, helping establish governance, accuracy, and adoption best practices. A strong data visualization background, hands‑on SQL experience (CTEs, window functions), and a continuous improvement mindset are essential. Required Experience • 6+ years of experience delivering cloud‑based data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics solutions, with a strong focus on sales‑driven reporting and decision support • Advanced hands‑on experience with Looker and LookML, including building and maintaining semantic layers, explores, dimensions, measures, and governed, certified datasets • Proven experience serving as a platform or domain SME, owning analytics solutions end‑to‑end from data modeling through dashboard delivery and adoption • Strong experience supporting or leading a BI platform migration (e.g., Power BI to Looker), including stakeholder enablement and report re‑architecture • Deep expertise in SQL, including production‑level use of CTEs and window functions to build analytics‑ready tables and optimize performance • Experience with BigQuery and dbt to transform, model, and test data within a modern cloud analytics stack • Demonstrated ability to build executive‑ready dashboards that balance visual clarity, data storytelling, and analytical rigor • Hands‑on experience improving data quality, reliability, and pipeline performance, including monitoring, validation, and troubleshooting • Strong data visualization background with an eye for usability, consistency, and scalable reporting standards • Ability to work cross‑functionally with business teams, analysts, and engineers to translate requirements into trusted analytics solutions
