Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial sector, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Data Analytics Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Sr. Data Analytics Engineer , you will be an integral part of the Operations Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.
Job Title: Sr. Data Analytics Engineer
Location:Charlotte, NC
Pay Range: 50-55/Hr. W2
Key Responsibilities
• Query and analyze data from existing datasets within an Oracle database
• Review, understand, and work with prebuilt SQL queries (approximately 90% already exist)
• Reverse engineer queries to replicate and validate existing reports
• Recreate reports and dashboards based on defined requirements
• Independently gather requirements and interpret business needs
• Deliver complete, accurate solutions end‑to‑end without heavy oversight
Technical Requirements SQL (Top Priority)
• Strong SQL skills required
• Experience querying and analyzing existing datasets
• Ability to review, understand, and modify prewritten queries
• Comfortable reverse engineering queries when needed
Power BI / Power Platform (Secondary Priority)
• Power BI is the primary visualization tool
• Experience connecting Power BI directly to an Oracle database
• Ability to build basic to moderate dashboards including:
• Bar charts and line graphs
• Basic slicers and filters
Data Modeling
• Understanding of existing data models and relational structures
• Ability to work with predefined schemas and unique identifiers
• Low to moderate modeling complexity
