Role description
Data and Analytics Senior Data Architect for a large public sector organisation
Contract Duration: 12 months, with a possible 12-month extension
Pay Rate: £630 per day (Inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to join a dynamic team for an exciting 12-month contract, with the potential for extension. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the data foundations of a travel app, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery of the client’s flagship product.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing data strategies. Your responsibilities will include:
Analysing existing data sets to determine structure and purpose
Creating data models, data dictionaries, data lineage, and detailed data mapping artifacts.
Collaborating with internal and third-party teams to implement effective data strategies
Utilising knowledge of data modelling tools, relational and NoSQL databases, SQL, JSON, and JSON Schema
Designing BI systems, managing slowly changing dimensions, late arriving data, and conflicting data sources
Ensuring compliance with GDPR and implementing strategies for handling personal data
Working with on-premise and Microsoft Azure technologies
Staying updated on emerging data technologies
Key Skills and Experience:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
Previous experience in large government projects or similar industries (travel, construction, etc.)
Strong communication skills
Experience interfacing between sub-system teams
Agile development experience in a BI/Reporting project context

Company-provided laptop
