Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms tailored for Pharma Commercial Analytics. This is a technology-first role, with deep focus on Snowflake, AWS native services, and DevOps, while enabling seamless integration with visualization tools like Tableau and Power BI.
You will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions that support real-time and batch analytics, driving commercial insights across pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Data Architecture & Engineering
• Design and implement modern data architectures on Snowflake, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift.
• Architect data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts optimized for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Define robust data ingestion, transformation, and consumption workflows across structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Build real-time, batch, and near real-time data pipelines using best-in-class tools and frameworks.
• Enable cross-service integrations between AWS and Snowflake (e.g., S3 ↔ Snowflake, Glue ↔ Snowflake).
• DevOps & Optimization
• Implement auto-scaling, fault-tolerant, and cost-optimized data infrastructure.
• Drive CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, data latency, and resource utilization.
• Visualization & Analytics Integration
• Collaborate with BI teams to integrate data models with Tableau, Power BI, and other visualization platforms.
• Ensure data availability and performance for downstream analytics and reporting.
• Governance & Strategy
• Define and enforce data governance policies, including data quality, lineage, and access control.
• Lead the data architecture roadmap, including technology evaluations, adoption of best practices, and alignment with business goals.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in cloud data platforms and life sciences analytics.
Technical Expertise
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, cloud data platforms, and DevOps.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, AWS (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, etc.), and data pipeline orchestration.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data lakehouse architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
Domain Knowledge
• Proven experience working in Pharma Commercial Analytics
