[Confidential Healthcare Client] Senior Data Architect (Azure/SQL/Database-heavy) Contract Term: 6+ month contract with potential for extension based on performance and business needs. $90-$105/hr W2 ROLE NO C2C Location: Hybrid onsite in Austin, TX Role Overview: Our confidential client is seeking a Senior Data Architect with deep expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, SQL-based systems, and enterprise data modeling. This role supports the architecture, design, and performance of mission-critical databases that power analytics and operational systems across the organization. This is an opportunity to drive database strategy and optimization efforts in a large-scale, regulated environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders and development teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and maintain scalable, high-performance data architectures using Azure tools and services Develop and optimize database schemas for SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms Drive performance tuning through indexing strategies and query optimization Manage and automate cloud-native data processes using Azure Blob Storage, pipelines, and managed instances Build and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) workflows Work closely with technical and business teams to define database requirements and deliver data solutions Oversee multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data systems Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience with Azure Cloud, including Blob Storage and managed database services Strong proficiency in SQL and database scripting Expertise with SQL Server, MySQL, and NoSQL environments Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques and tools Experience with performance tuning and optimization in large-scale database environments Programming familiarity with SQL, Python, or Java for database automation Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and workstreams Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience in large-scale healthcare or regulated data environments Prior exposure to globally distributed teams and systems Work Environment: Hybrid work model with collaboration between technical, product, and business teams Fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment focused on data integrity and scalability
