We’re seeking a Senior Data and Backend Engineer to support a leading industry company's team. This opportunity involves working on advanced safety solutions for a prominent AI studio, with a focus on developing scalable data and backend systems that influence how millions experience music and podcasts. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with the majority of time spent working from home, flexible between Europe and the US East Coast. The position is temporary, lasting between 4 to 6 months, and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build innovative solutions. Senior Data and Backend Engineer Responsibilities: • Design technical specifications in partnership with product teams to meet safety and content moderation needs. • Develop and maintain large-scale, high-quality data pipelines for real-time and batch processing. • Architect, deploy, and operate backend services capable of supporting millions of users and large data volumes. • Provide technical leadership within your team and influence backend/data architecture across the organization. • Contribute to a culture of experimentation and innovation through participation in hack days and hack weeks. Senior Data and Backend Engineer Qualifications: • Proven experience delivering scalable, end-to-end production data and backend solutions. • Skilled in designing modular architectures for complex, ambiguous problems. • Expertise with Ray, Hendrix, Scio, Java, Python, Dbt, BigQuery, and SQL. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines and teams. • Interest or experience in owning and managing complex systems in dynamic environments.
