Role description
Edinburgh (Hybrid) Inside IR35 £525–£600 per day Are you a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys leading complex engineering initiatives while remaining hands-on? We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing data engineering team delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and products. You'll combine technical leadership with hands-on engineering, helping shape best practice while delivering reliable, scalable and secure data solutions. What you'll be doing • Lead the design, development and delivery of complex data pipelines and data products. • Provide technical ownership across large-scale engineering initiatives. • Drive engineering standards, automation and best practice across the team. • Work closely with Data Owners, Architects and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions. • Mentor engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the wider team. • Lead investigations into production issues, root cause analysis and service improvements. • Champion modern engineering practices, CI/CD and continuous improvement. What we're looking for • Extensive experience delivering enterprise data engineering solutions. • Strong background building data pipelines and integrations. • Excellent SQL and experience with technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle or Snowflake. • Experience with cloud platforms including Azure or AWS. • Strong scripting skills using SQL, Python or PowerShell. • Experience with CI/CD, deployment automation and engineering best practice. • Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and influence engineering direction. • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills If you are keen APPLY NOW.
