Data Engineer – Outside IR35 – £500–£550 per day – 6-Month Contract – Hybrid (Central London, 1–2 days/month) Our client, a mission driven business at the forefront of digital transformation in the media space is looking for a highly capable Data Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract (Outside IR35). This role is central to building and scaling robust data pipelines that directly impact how creators are recognised and rewarded across global streaming platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and enjoys solving complex technical challenges that have real-world impact. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable data pipelines and backend services. • Implement resilient, high-volume data processing systems with modern technologies. • Optimise infrastructure for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Write production-ready code, following best practices in testing and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Work closely with engineering leads, product teams, and architects to shape the data landscape. • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Ideal Candidate: • Extensive experience designing and building large-scale data pipelines and infrastructure. • Proficient in: • Data modelling techniques • AWS managed services, SQL & NoSQL databases • Modern cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, Trino) • Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or equivalent) • Strong commitment to clean code, quality, testing, and operational excellence. • Comfortable working in agile teams and independently driving complex solutions. • Passionate about the role of data in creating transparency and value.
