IT Engineer – Data (Security) Lead Systems Analyst, Reporting & Automation Location: Vienna, Virginia Department: Information Security About the Role We’re looking for an IT Engineer – Data (Security) to join our Information Security team and support high-impact projects within the Infosec PMO. In this role, you’ll build and manage analytics solutions that track goals, measure project status, and deliver operational insights. You’ll also oversee governance models and workspace management (Power BI, Databricks) to ensure security, efficiency, and scalability. What You’ll Do • Lead analytics projects to uncover insights and drive data-informed decisions. • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and pipelines in Power BI and Databricks. • Automate and optimize data processes using Python and other scripting languages. • Manage secure and efficient Power BI and Databricks workspaces. • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable reporting solutions. • Support Agile ceremonies and backlog refinement as needed. • Prepare presentations and reports for leadership using Power BI, Azure DevOps, and MS Office. • Analyze business and operational data to improve efficiency and effectiveness. • Build custom API integrations to connect data from multiple systems. • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. What We’re Looking For Required Skills & Experience • 8+ years with Power BI • 5+ years with Databricks • 5+ years of Python scripting • 3+ years with Azure DevOps • 3+ years with SharePoint • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across diverse teams • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently Preferred Qualifications • Experience in Azure Databricks and Information Security teams • Familiarity with Agile methodologies • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams collaboration tools Preferred Certifications • Databricks Data Engineer Associate/Professional • Power BI Data Analyst Associate • Azure Enterprise Data Analyst Associate We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
