Role description
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets, cloud platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data engineering tools.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party systems.
Develop scalable solutions for batch and real-time data processing.
Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance standards are met.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows and production issues.
Optimize database performance and query efficiency.
Implement data modeling techniques to support reporting and analytics.
Document data architecture, processes, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database technologies.
Experience with Python, Scala, Java, or Spark.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools and frameworks.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Airflow.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and version control systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Redshift.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
Experience supporting machine learning or advanced analytics workloads.
Relevant cloud or data engineering certifications.
