Senior Data Engineer – Bloomberg Market Data Client: Lazard Asset Management Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Interview: One round, in-person at Insight Global NYC Office (No remote interviews) Required Experience • 8+ years of Data Engineering experience • Financial Services, Asset Management, or Investment Banking background • Recent hands-on experience with Bloomberg Market Data Required Skills • Bloomberg Market Data • Bloomberg Per Security Data License (PSDL) • Bloomberg Request & Response Files • Snowflake (Schema Design, RBAC, Native Warehousing, Historical Data Archive) • SQL (Snowflake, Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle) • Python scripting & automation • DBT (Data Build Tool) • ETL development and data quality • Historical market data analysis • Performance tuning and production support • Migration from Sybase to Snowflake • Knowledge of Middle Office & Back Office processes Responsibilities • Build a historical Bloomberg data archive in Snowflake • Convert Bloomberg PSDL request files into SQL scripts • Design and enhance Snowflake schemas • Migrate legacy Sybase structures to Snowflake • Develop DBT data transformations • Build Python automation for operational support • Troubleshoot data, performance, and latency issues • Work with Operations and Technology teams to optimize Bloomberg data usage Candidate Must Have • Senior-level Data Engineering experience • Recent Bloomberg Market Data experience in Financial Services • Comfortable with hybrid work (3 days onsite in NYC) • Available for in-person interview in New York City
