Responsibilities
Kforce has a healthcare client in Anaheim, CA that is seeking a Senior Data Engineer. Responsibilities:
β’ Lead on all aspects of a modern and flexible SDLC approach, applied to data engineering, analytics and data science efforts
β’ Provide business guidance and steer efforts toward desired outcomes; Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to meet strategic data warehouse goals
β’ Research, evaluate and formally recommend third party software and technology package
β’ Responsible for new & existing integrated system & data flow enterprise architecture
β’ Set standards for data engineering functions; Design templates for the data management which are scalable, repeatable, and simple
β’ Defines and develops appropriate controls to monitor quality of the enterprise data warehouse process
β’ Preparation of technical specifications
β’ Stay up to date with established and industry emerging data technologies
β’ Provide proactive technical oversight and advice that foster re-use, scalability, stability, and operational efficiency of data/analytical solutions
Requirements
β’ Minimum 7 years of experience in a data warehouse\data engineering role for a mid to large organization; Health Care industry experience highly desired
β’ Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with ETL\Data Integration, BI, data mining and modeling
β’ Experience in implementing a data architecture with separation between storage and compute preferred
β’ Experience with data quality and ETL platform, such as Talend is preferred
β’ Experience using Azure DevOps for source control and CICD
β’ Experience working in both waterfall and Agile project managed teams
β’ Strong experience on database technologies, data warehouse, data validation, data quality, metadata management, and data governance
β’ Knowledge of and experienced in rolling out best practices in all facets of DW architecture, data flow strategy, data modeling, metadata and master data management
β’ Deep understanding of data architecture and ability to coordinate with the enterprise data architect is highly desired
β’ Expertise in SQL and RDBMS systems such as Microsoft SQL Server
β’ Proficient in 3rd normal form (TNF) DW Architecture, data flow best practices, data modeling, metadata, and master data management
β’ Strong TSQL and MS SQL development skills
β’ Needs to have highly advanced technical skills and overall knowledge of IT stack
β’ Clear communication skills
β’ Demonstrate ability to produce high quality technical documentation
β’ Able to self-learn, reverse engineer, and support existing processes
β’ Experience using Talend as an ETL tool is a plus
β’ Familiarity of Data Virtualization concept/architecture is highly desired
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
