Role description
Duration - 6 months Contract to hire Location - 5 days onsite - Dallas, TX - Local candidates only Client is looking for GC/USC only. No Third-party/visa transfer candidates for this role Sr Data Engineer - Databricks Expert As a Databricks SME, you will serve as the technical and functional leader for data engineering efforts, designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines utilizing Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, and SQL. You’ll translate complex business needs into scalable analytics solutions, develop dashboards using Power BI or Tableau, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics. Your expertise will ensure data quality, governance, and platform performance, supporting seamless data integration from diverse sources including ERP systems and cloud platforms. Mentoring team members and contributing to strategic data architecture will also be key facets of your role Required Skills: β€’ 8+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics β€’ Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake β€’ Proficiency in SQL and Python β€’ Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing β€’ Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools β€’ Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams β€’ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field Nice to Have Skills: β€’ Cloud platform experience (Azure or AWS) β€’ Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce β€’ Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks, and compliance β€’ Experience working in Agile environments Other Requirements: β€’ Ability to work onsite full-time in Dallas, TX (may transition to four days a week during summer) β€’ Willingness to consider full-time employment after contract duration (at least 6 months) β€’ No H1B sponsorship available; candidates should be GC or US Citizens #tech
