Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using Databricks.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, setting best practices and ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data science, analytics, and business stakeholders.
• Implement robust data governance, quality, and security practices.
• Optimise data workflows and drive efficiency across large and complex datasets.
• Remain hands-on with coding, debugging, and problem-solving when required.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience delivering Databricks implementations in production.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Demonstrated experience leading or managing small to mid-sized data engineering teams.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, data lakes, data warehouses, and modern data architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical detail with delivery deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
