Responsibilities
Kforce is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to come aboard a contract opportunity with one of our clients in Topeka, KS. Responsibilities:
β’ Responsible for the physical data structures, data integration, build, and care of solutions
β’ Develop ELT processes and frameworks to efficiently extract, load, and transform data from various sources
β’ Demonstrate commitment to software development best practices, including documentation, reusable code design, test driven implementation, and integrated software testing
β’ Monitor and optimize the performance of data pipelines to ensure high data quality and availability
β’ Build data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader
β’ Investigate and mitigate data quality issues
β’ Discover and present opportunities for improvement
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or engineering-related field or equivalent work experience
β’ 8+ years of professional experience in data engineering
β’ Hands-on data engineering experience with cloud-based relational database platforms, preferably Snowflake. Suitable alternatives include Google BigQuery, Databricks, Azure SQL, Postgres, and AWS Redshift
β’ Hands-on experience with modern ELT transformation tools, preferably dbt. Suitable alternatives include Databricks, Talend, Google Dataflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, and Matillion
β’ Hands-on data engineering experience with GCP cloud data ecosystem preferred. Will consider Azure and AWS if candidate has either Snowflake or dbt
β’ Experience with workflow orchestration/scheduling solutions, preferably Airflow
β’ Experience migrating from legacy to new data pipelines
β’ Experience creating synthetic test data for data pipelines
β’ Experience delivering software on at least 2 projects with a total project team size greater than 4 team members
β’ Applied experience in Agile, SAFe, or Scrum
β’ Nice to have experience consuming and developing REST APIs, preferably with GraphQL
β’ Familiarity with SAP systems (ECC, C4C, S4 HANA) a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
