Senior Data Engineer

Role: Sr Data Engineer Location: Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite per week. Candidate must be within commutable distance of one of the following hubs: Mount Laurel, NJ Wilmington, DE Jacksonville, FL Ft. Lauderdale, FL Lewiston, ME Portland, ME Charlotte, NC Greenville, SC Boston, MA Washington/Vienna, VA New York, NY Must-Haves: • 10+ years of backend development experience within a data workspace • Strong hands-on expertise with Python and PySpark • Strong AI and machine learning experience (including Copilot and VIBE coding) • 10+ years of banking or financial services experience • Experience working with legacy technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, Mainframe) • Graduate-level degree (required) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong collaboration and team-oriented mindset Plusses: • AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science certifications • Experience supporting analytics use cases such as collections or risk analytics Day-to-Day: • Design, build, and maintain backend data pipelines and data engineering solutions • Develop and enhance AI/ML-driven analytics solutions using Python and PySpark • Support AI-related initiatives, including collections analytics and other data projects • Collaborate with internal TD stakeholders across data, analytics, and technology teams • Participate in ~2 hours of meetings per day (standups, technical discussions, project updates) • Ensure deliverables meet timelines, quality standards, and TD development practices • Contribute ideas, support teammates, and actively participate in team culture Job Description: Insight Global is seeking a Data Engineer V for a top financial services client supporting AI-driven analytics initiatives.
