Senior Data Engineer

Position: Data Engineer Location: Remote with travel as per client need to FL Duration: Long Term Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to support the implementation of a large-scale electronic document management system (EDMS). The role involves designing and executing data migration strategies, building scalable data pipelines, and ensuring accurate migration of structured and unstructured content from legacy systems to modern, cloud-based platforms. Key Responsibilities • Design and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale migrations. • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from legacy systems into the new EDMS. • Validate and cleanse data to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Apply best practices for metadata mapping, document classification, and file system modelling. • Collaborate with modelers, analysts, and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions. • Monitor and troubleshoot migration activities for performance and scalability. Minimum Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role. • Proven expertise in data migration projects with large, complex datasets. • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, SQL, and data integration frameworks. • Strong understanding of data modelling, database design, and system integration. • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with enterprise-scale document/content management systems. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Knowledge of metadata management and classification structures. • Background in migrating legacy data to cloud-based platforms. • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
