Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.
β’ Work with large datasets from healthcare systems (e.g., EHRs, claims, HL7/FHIR).
β’ Automate data workflows and support infrastructure using Python, Django, and SQL.
β’ Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to support business goals.
β’ Implement and manage data workflows using AWS services.
β’ Utilize Phoenix scripting language where applicable to streamline data operations.
β’ Ensure high standards of data quality, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
β’ 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
β’ Proven experience working in the healthcare domain with an understanding of clinical or claims data.
β’ Strong experience with Python, Django & SQL for data processing, automation, and infrastructure work.
β’ Proficiency in AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, or EMR.
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
β’ Familiarity with data privacy and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Experience with Phoenix scripting language.
β’ Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare interoperability standards.
β’ Exposure to platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, or Apache Airflow.
β’ Strong analytical and communication skills.
