About the Role
We are seeking a Power Platform Data Engineer for our client in the Utilities industry sector. This role requires strong expertise in Power Apps, Dataverse, and data engineering, along with the ability to work on customer-facing solutions and enterprise data systems.
Role Overview
This position focuses on building scalable Power Platform applications, designing robust data models, and enabling seamless data integration across platforms. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, build, and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven) solutions
β’ Develop and manage Dataverse data models, including schema design and security
β’ Build and optimize data pipelines and integrations across enterprise systems
β’ Work with Power Platform backend technologies to enable secure data flow
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
β’ Support analytics and reporting use cases through data transformation
β’ Deploy and integrate machine learning models into production environments (as needed)
β’ Troubleshoot complex data and application issues
β’ Follow best practices in CI/CD, testing, and source control
β’ Mentor junior team members
Required Skills
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps / Power Platform
β’ Solid understanding of Dataverse (data modeling, security, integrations)
β’ Experience with ETL / Data Engineering tools (e.g., Spark, Informatica, SAP BODS, Palantir Foundry)
β’ Experience with data integration and large datasets
β’ Customer-facing / stakeholder interaction experience
β’ Knowledge of software engineering best practices
Nice to Have
β’ Experience with Microsoft Fabric
β’ Exposure to Machine Learning model deployment
β’ Experience with BI tools (Power BI, OBIEE, etc.)
Education
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
