Senior Data Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial technology sector, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Senior Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Data & Analytics department supporting the Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title:Senior Data Engineer Location:Southlake, TX (Secondary work location – Austin, TX) Pay Range:$63 What's the Job? Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub. Write high-performance, production-grade Python and SQL, optimizing queries to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Implement complex data models in BigQuery, utilizing partitioning, clustering, and materialized views for optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business customers and Subject Matter Experts, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and performance while implementing best practices for data quality, governance, and security. What's Needed? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of hands-on experience with data management, consolidating data from multiple sources, and transforming it for analysis and visualization. Strong expertise in Google BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and related GCP services. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
