Role description
Location: Irving, TX (onsite TuesdayβThursday; remote Monday & Friday)
Duration: 6+ month contract
Status: Open (1 opening)
Interview - On-site interview - Local candidates only - 90 minutes one and done interview
For Third party candidates - Need 3 months conversion waiver (Must Have)
Overview of the Project : Internal Analytics β Database that allows for internal self-service of BI. Eventually there will be some external access. This role will continue to work on the database to enhance and ensure all is correct. This will be the single source of data for the company.
Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, enhance, code, test, deliver and debug solutions.
β’ Implement large, complex stories spanning multiple technology domains.
β’ Participate in requirement gathering and design sessions.
β’ Participate in code reviews, Maintain code quality, introduce and enforce development standards.
β’ Develop deliverables and meet project deadlines.
β’ Identify and communicate technical trends and/or emerging technology.
β’ Participating in all sprint ceremonies (Refinement, Planning, Daily Standup and Retrospective)
β’ Participate in pair programming, Knowledge sharing, brown bag sessions.
Qualifications:
β’ 8+ of relevant software development experience required.
β’ 5 or more years of in-depth experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL is required.
β’ Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory required.
β’ Experience with Data Engineering such as Databricks is required
β’ Experience with data modeling & building semantic layers.
β’ Experience with understanding and developing data lake/delta lake eco systems is required.
β’ Experience with working with large volumes of data β millions of records
β’ Experience building and using CI/CD pipelines
β’ Experience with IaC technologies (Terraform, Pulumi)
β’ Experience with reporting tool such. Prefer Power BI or Tableau
β’ Experience working in an Agile based development environment is required.
β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
