Job Title: Cyber Sec Data Engineer Location: Washington, DC/Chicago, IL/Denver, CO Work Arrangement: Hybrid Client Industry: Enterprise BFSI client Duration: 12+ Months Contract Schedule: Monday to Friday, Standard working hours About the Role: We are seeking a Cybersecurity Data Architect/Senior Data Engineer with Cybersec exp to lead the design and governance of enterprise-scale security data solutions. This role will support the implementation of ServiceNow Vulnerability Management and drive standardized, secure, and compliant cybersecurity data architectures across the organization. Top Five skills: • Cybersecurity Data Modeling (OCSF) • Hands-on experience defining and governing security data models using Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework across SIEM, endpoints, IAM, cloud, and network data. • Data Architecture & Modeling Expertise • Strong logical, physical, and conceptual data modeling skills using Erwin or SAP PowerDesigner, with the ability to design scalable, compliant architectures. • Data Governance, Privacy & Security • Deep understanding of zero trust data architecture, data classification, encryption, masking, lineage, and retention, especially in regulated environments. • Big Data & Distributed Platforms • Experience with Hadoop, Spark, and large-scale ingestion and transformation of high-volume cybersecurity telemetry. • Hybrid Data Mesh & Data Fabric • Practical experience enabling domain-driven data products while enforcing centralized governance, including tools like Starburst / Trino or similar. What We’re Looking For: • Experience in Cybersecurity Space including zero trust data architecture and Opens Cybersecurity Schema Framework • In-depth understanding of data security, data privacy, and data governance concepts • Hands on experience with data modeling tools (SAP PowerDesigner, Erwin Data Modeler), database management systems, big data environments and ETL tools. • Data Analysis / Profiling /Modeling/Cleaning - Python (Jupyterlab, PyCharm, etc.), Toad, MySQL • Data Platforms - Hadoop, Spark, • Databases: Relational, Warehouse, • Knowledgeable in Cybersecurity, Audit and regulatory concerns. • Strong knowledge of data management principles, data modeling techniques and data integration patterns. • In-depth understanding of data security, data privacy, and data governance concepts. • Hybrid data mesh + data fabric fluency, Starburst/Trino or similar tools • Strong communication Compensation: Hourly Rate: $70 - $71 per hour This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
