Senior Data Engineer | Enterprise Data Platforms & Integrations Hybrid in Denton, TX (within 40-mile commute radius) Contract-to-Hire; conversion based on performance, client need, and mutual fit Conversion Salary Range: $80K to $110K, depending on experience Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check upon hire Must be able to attend an on-site interview in Denton, TX Summary Seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a higher education client in the Denton, Texas area. This contract-to-hire role supports enterprise data platforms, data architecture, operational data stores, enterprise data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, integrations, analytics, and institutional reporting. Required β€’ 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering, enterprise data warehousing, ETL development, analytics engineering, or equivalent. β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. β€’ Experience designing and supporting enterprise data warehouses, operational data stores, data marts, data lakes, and analytics platforms. β€’ Experience supporting hybrid cloud and on-premises enterprise data ecosystems. β€’ Strong SQL experience, including Oracle PL/SQL, SQL Server T-SQL, or equivalent technologies. β€’ Experience with database performance tuning, SQL query optimization, schema design, and data modeling. β€’ Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines. β€’ Experience with cloud and integration platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Integration Cloud, SnapLogic, SSIS, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP, or file-based integrations. β€’ Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, or equivalent. β€’ Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. β€’ Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. β€’ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex enterprise environment.
