Role description
Job Title - Data Engineer
Location – Remote
Duration- 6+ Months
Client- Deloitte
• Review and enhance Unity Catalog documentation by identifying gaps, correcting inaccuracies, and improving business-friendly table and column definitions.
• Analyze SQL queries, ETL/ELT workflows, and upstream data pipelines to understand how data is sourced, transformed, and published across the data lake.
• Lead discovery sessions with business and technical stakeholders to capture business context, usage guidelines, data limitations, and ownership.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering data lineage, metadata, semantic definitions, governance policies, and approved business use cases.
• Document data restrictions, sensitive data handling, and appropriate usage for reporting, analytics, AI, and LLM-enabled applications.
• Validate LLM-generated responses against documented definitions to ensure accuracy, consistency, safety, and alignment with business context.
• Identify and report gaps in metadata, data quality, lineage, governance, and ownership to improve enterprise AI readiness.
• Utilize strong SQL, data warehouse, data lake, analytics, and documentation expertise while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support responsible AI adoption and trusted data management.
