Senior Data Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data Analytics Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Location: Phoenix, Arizona Schedule: 3x on site per week Rate: 85-90/hr W2 Type: Contract Duration: until EOY, December 2026 What's the Job? • Analyze financial data processing workflows and translate business requirements into scalable technical data solutions. • Perform detailed source-to-target data mapping, gap analysis, and implement transformation logic for credit card and financial data products. • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes supporting enterprise reporting and analytics. • Define processing specifications including data volumes, performance, scalability, and security requirements for distributed data platforms. • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and source system teams to design data architecture that supports accounting, reporting, and analytical workloads. What's Needed? • Proven experience in data engineering, especially in financial data environments. • Strong knowledge of data pipeline development, data integration, and ETL processes. • Experience with designing scalable data architectures and processing specifications. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
