Role description
AWS Data Platform Engineer, Contract - Outside IR35 - Fully Remote (UK ONLY) We’re looking for an experienced AWS Data Platform Expert to join a high-impact public sector programme focused on delivering secure, scalable, and compliant data solutions in AWS. This is a contract role, outside IR35, and fully remote, offering flexibility and the chance to work on a meaningful project with real-world impact in healthcare and regulated environments. What You’ll Be Doing Designing and implementing Lakehouse-style architectures using AWS HealthLake, Glue, S3, Athena, Redshift, and Lambda. Building robust ETL pipelines and data transformation workflows in AWS Glue. Ensuring data governance, privacy, and protection aligned with healthcare and public sector standards. Deploying infrastructure using Terraform and integrating platforms across AWS accounts. Leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, and delivering solutions iteratively using Agile and MVP approaches. What We’re Looking For Expert-level AWS experience, especially with HealthLake, Glue, and Lakehouse architectures. Strong hands-on skills in ETL development, data transformation, and AWS Glue workflows. Experience working in regulated environments, ideally within the public sector or healthcare. Proficiency in Terraform, CI/CD, DevOps, and multi-account AWS architecture. Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical leadership.
