Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer (AWS + AI) Location: Torrance, CA (Onsite) Experience: 11+ Years Role Overview We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist / Data Engineer with strong expertise in AWS data ecosystem and emerging AI technologies. This role combines data engineering, distributed processing, and Agentic AI innovation to build scalable, high-performance data solutions. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL workflows on AWS β€’ Develop scalable data solutions using Spark, AWS Glue, EMR, and Redshift β€’ Lead data modeling, performance tuning, and warehouse optimization initiatives β€’ Build and manage high-performance ETL pipelines into Amazon Redshift β€’ Implement workflow orchestration using Airflow, Step Functions, and Lambda β€’ Work on next-gen AI solutions leveraging Agentic AI frameworks (A2A, MCP, LangGraph, Claude, Kiro) β€’ Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot) to accelerate engineering productivity β€’ Enable reporting and analytics through strong data warehousing design (star/snowflake schemas) Required Skills β€’ 8+ years in data warehousing / data engineering, with 4+ years in AWS ecosystem β€’ Strong experience in distributed data processing (Spark, Glue, EMR) β€’ Hands-on with Python, PySpark, and SQL β€’ Expertise in Amazon Redshift (performance tuning, schema design, workload management) β€’ Experience in ETL pipeline development and optimization β€’ Knowledge of data modeling & dimensional design concepts β€’ Familiarity with Iceberg tables (preferred) β€’ Experience with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, and Lambda orchestration β€’ Exposure to Agentic AI & modern AI/ML frameworks Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology
