Contract Data Engineer | Outside IR35 | £440 - 460pd | 2-3 Months Initially | London | Hybrid
This is a hybrid role and will require 2–3 days per week on-site in London.
We’re working with a fast-scaling business on a critical data transformation project, and we’re looking for an experienced Contract Data Engineer to come in and help with a range of data operations, architecture, and business intelligence projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
• Leading on core Data Engineering and BI tasks
• Own and manage the Snowflake Medallion Architecture (Raw, Silver, Gold layers)
• Organise, optimise, and scale the data warehouse to support 20–30 clients
• Build and maintain BI dashboards and reporting
• Help shape data governance, security layers, and best practices
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver clean, scalable solutions.
Requirements:
• Strong experience with Snowflake, SQL scripting, and modern data architecture
• Deep knowledge of at least ideally PowerBI and QlikSense
• Ability to scale and optimise data models and deliver actionable insights to the business.
• Comfortable working with APIs and embedding BI outputs
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and reporting best practices
• Experience in AWS or Azure environments is a nice-to-have
