Senior Data Engineer - SQL - Pyspark - Data Modelling - Databricks - LakeHouse Architectures • FTC role - 12 Months • Salary - Up to £75,000 + Benefits • Location - Remote My client who are leaders in their field are looking for a a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will take ownership of designing and delivering robust dimensional and semantic data models within a modern lakehouse architecture. You will convert complex business requirements into efficient, scalable transformation pipelines using SQL and PySpark, ensuring data is accurate, well-governed, and optimised for use in Power BI and other analytics and reporting tools. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the development and delivery of curated, analytics-ready dimensional and semantic data models • Design, build, and maintain advanced SQL and PySpark transformation pipelines on Databricks • Drive data quality, testing, observability, and performance across the curated data layer • Facilitate model design reviews and contribute to broader architectural decisions • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to Analytics Engineers • Support and enhance CI/CD processes, testing frameworks, and data governance standards across the platform Key Skills/Experience: • Proven experience operating as an Analytics Engineer within modern data platform environments • Advanced SQL expertise, with strong hands-on capability in PySpark • Deep knowledge of dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, and analytics engineering best practices • Practical experience with Databricks and lakehouse architectures • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts • Experience providing technical leadership, including mentoring and guiding other engineers
