Luna Data Solutions, Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Engineer for a long term contract position worked onsite in Austin, TX. You must currently reside within the Austin, TX metropolitan area to be considered. In this role, you'll take part in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including system design, data acquisition, ETL automation, testing, deployment, operations support, and enhancement. You’ll play a technical leadership role on an agile team and contribute to a mission-critical platform that integrates data across a broad spectrum of health and human services programs. Key Responsibilities: • Lead or collaborate as part of an Agile development team on the end-to-end delivery of the Data Integration Hub. • Design, develop, and automate data integration and transformation processes using Informatica PowerCenter or IICS. • Acquire, transform, and integrate data from various sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF files. • Design and develop complex SQL scripts and views in Oracle or Snowflake for data modeling and performance optimization. • Validate performance metrics and participate in backlog refinement (Epics/User Stories/Tasks). • Participate in testing activities including integration, load, and stress testing. • Support deployment and ongoing operations of the integration hub. • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and engineers to validate and implement data design. • Produce and maintain technical documentation including specifications, data flow diagrams, and interface designs. • Engage in sprint ceremonies and contribute to Agile best practices and continuous improvement. Minimum Qualifications: • 8+ years experience with Informatica PowerCenter or IICS in building ETL pipelines and workflows. • 8+ years experience in data acquisition from heterogeneous sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF. • 8+ years experience writing efficient, high-performing SQL scripts (Oracle and/or Snowflake). • 8+ years experience in technical analysis and systems development for analytics or data warehouse environments. • 8+ years experience in technical documentation and diagramming (Visio, ERWin, MS Office Suite). • 8+ years experience planning and delivering multi-product or enterprise-level data solutions. Preferred Qualifications: • 6+ years of experience working on Agile sprint teams. • 1+ yr. prior experience in the healthcare industry. • Knowledge of security principles in working with PII and PHI data. • Experience with tools like Tableau, JIRA, GitHub Actions, and Python. • Functional knowledge of REST/SOAP Web Services. • Experience coding with Java, JavaScript, or C#. • Prior work with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). • Mulesoft development experience is a plus. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field What We Offer: • Competitive Compensation: • Generous Benefits Package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options, and more!
