JOB TITLE: Data Engineer/AI Analytics Engineer Location: Seattle, WA (50% onsite) Duration: 12 months initial (potential extension/potential right to hire) Shift Hours- Standard β€’ LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to play a critical role in a newly formed, high-impact data team. This is a multiyear project where you will be instrumental in building scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions that drive operational insights and decision support across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in data engineering, cloud platforms, and large-scale data systems, combined with the ability to design and implement end-to-end architectures. You should be hands-on with Python and SQL, experienced with modern visualization tools, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities β€’ Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to support enterprise data management and analytics. β€’ Architect scalable solutions leveraging Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms. β€’ Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and integration. β€’ Build and manage data models, data warehouses, and operational data stores to support analytics and business intelligence. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver dashboards, reporting solutions, and self-service analytics (Tableau or similar tools). β€’ Provide expertise in Python and SQL coding for data transformation, automation, and analysis. β€’ Ensure solutions meet enterprise-level data governance, security, and compliance standards. β€’ Mentor team members and contribute to establishing best practices and frameworks for the new data team. Qualifications β€’ Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). β€’ 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles. β€’ Proven experience in building and scaling large-scale enterprise data solutions. β€’ Strong proficiency in Python and SQL; able to solve complex coding challenges. β€’ Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP). β€’ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker). β€’ Knowledge of end-to-end system architecture including data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics. β€’ Familiarity with modern development practices (CI/CD, Git, Agile). β€’ Bonus: Experience with React.js for building interactive data dashboards or tools. Preferred Skills β€’ Enterprise-level experience in data governance, master data management, and metadata management. β€’ Ability to balance technical depth with business context, delivering actionable insights. β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset in a cross-functional environment.
