Job Description Our client, a global technology consulting services firm, is hiring for a Senior Data Engineer. The organization builds large scale data platforms, analytics systems, and AI ready infrastructure for enterprise customers across industries such as healthcare, financial services, and digital products. This role is hybrid in Newton, MA. Required Skills And Experience 5 plus years of professional experience in data engineering or data platform development Strong SQL and advanced data modeling skills Proficiency in Python or another language commonly used for data processing Experience building and maintaining complex ETL or ELT pipelines Hands on experience with cloud data platforms and storage systems Experience with data warehouses or lakehouse architectures Understanding of data quality, validation, and testing practices Ability to design efficient, production ready data workflows Experience reviewing and guiding technical design decisions Comfortable working with cross functional technical teams Desired Skills And Experience Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar schedulers Experience with transformation frameworks such as dbt or equivalent tooling Familiarity with distributed processing frameworks such as Spark Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, or similar platforms Exposure to analytics, BI, or machine learning data preparation workflows Experience implementing data governance and access controls Performance tuning and query optimization experience Consulting or client facing project experience What You Will Be Doing Design and implement scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines Build and maintain data warehouses, lakes, and analytics data layers Improve reliability, observability, and performance of existing pipelines Partner with analytics and application teams to define data structures and contracts Implement data quality checks and monitoring Optimize storage layouts and query patterns for large datasets Document data flows and architectural decisions Support production data systems and troubleshoot issues Tech Breakdown Cloud data platforms and managed storage systems Modern data warehouses and lakehouse technologies Batch and near real time pipeline frameworks Orchestration and scheduling tools SQL and Python based data processing Daily Responsibilities Majority hands on pipeline and platform development Regular collaboration with engineering and analytics teams Architecture and design input on new data systems The Offer Competitive base salary with potential bonus eligibility Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off PTO 401k with company match if applicable Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full time basis now and in the future.
