Senior Data Engineer

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst for a hybrid contract in Austin, TX. Responsibilities: As a member of an agile development team, you will serve as a technical leader guiding the team through project execution, including data acquisition from a variety of sources, developing complex SQL scripts to transform source data into a dimensional model, and creating views and materialized views. You will develop automation using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS to pull and transform data from external sources, collaborate with the Data Engineering Team on optimal data design, and perform verification and validation of SQL scripts, Informatica automation, and database views. Additional responsibilities include developing automated validation methods, participating in all sprint ceremonies, creating mockups for customer validation, producing and maintaining technical specifications and diagrams, interpreting changing business requirements, and proposing enhancements to meet new requirements. Job Description: This role supports the development of a data integration hub within a Performance Management & Analytics System (PMAS) with goals that include implementation and configuration of the integration hub infrastructure, design, development, and implementation using an agile methodology across all standard SDLC phases — including validation of performance metric requirements, creation of Epics/User Stories/Tasks, automation of data acquisition from a variety of data sources, development of complex SQL scripts, integration/load/stress testing, and internal and external deployment. The role also includes ongoing operations support and enhancement of the data integration hub. Minimum Qualifications: • 8 years of experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter or IICS • 8 years of experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources/technologies using Informatica PowerCenter or IICS for use by a Tableau data visualization object, including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF • 8 years of experience designing and developing complex Snowflake SQL scripts that are fast and efficient • 8 years of extensive experience as a systems analyst for a data analytics, performance management system, or data warehousing project • 8 years of experience with technical writing and diagramming, including proficiency with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin), and the Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project • 8 years of experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units • 8 years of proven ability to write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using best software development practices Preferred Qualifications: • 6 years of experience with excellent oral and written communication skills • 6 years of experience effectively managing multiple responsibilities and prioritizing conflicting assignments • 4 years of experience on an agile sprint team • 4 years of knowledge of security principles as they apply to healthcare data • 4 years of experience with state of the art software components for a performance metrics data visualization or business intelligence environment • 4 years of previous experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent • 4 years of previous experience in the Healthcare Industry • 4 years of previous experience working with PII or PHI data • 4 years of experience designing and developing scripts using Python • 4 years of experience with JIRA software • 2 years of functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) • 2 years of experience designing and developing code using Java and JavaScript • 2 years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Git Actions • 2 years of experience as a Mulesoft developer • 2 years of experience developing using AI tools such as Snowflake Cortex and Intelligence, and/or Informatica Claire What We Offer: Sistema offers competitive pay and solid benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
