The Senior Data Governance Analyst is an individual contributor role supporting the execution of enterprise data governance initiatives and operational excellence. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to data stewardship, regulatory alignment, and AI readiness across a complex organization.
Working closely with senior leadership, this role supports the implementation of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks designed to enhance data quality, ensure compliance, enable responsible AI adoption, and maximize the value of data across business operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance Framework Support & Implementation
• Assist in the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
• Support alignment of governance initiatives with enterprise priorities and industry best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Support
• Prepare documentation, materials, and track action items related to governance initiatives
• Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to support governance execution across business and technology teams
• Partner with technology teams to support data architecture governance and implementation of standards
Analytics, Reporting & Performance Management
• Develop reports and presentations on governance program status and performance for leadership
• Perform analysis to support governance initiatives and inform decision-making
• Assist in defining and tracking KPIs and metrics to measure program effectiveness
Technical Governance & Data Management
• Support data lineage and metadata management initiatives to improve transparency and traceability
• Promote adoption of governance standards and best practices across data domains
• Contribute to the evolution of governance capabilities to meet emerging organizational needs
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Data Management, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related disciplines
• Experience contributing to enterprise data governance programs within complex environments
• Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, data architecture, and data lineage
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools

• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive stakeholder alignment
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business insights
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and escalate when appropriate
• Experience supporting governance forums, committees, or working groups is a plus
