Job Title: Senior Data Migration Engineer (SSIS) Location: San Diego, CA/Hybrid Job Description We are seeking a Senior Data Migration Engineer with strong expertise in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to lead complex data migration efforts across multiple databases and multi-tenant systems. This role requires deep technical skills in ETL development, data validation, and optimization, along with the ability to handle the challenges of migrating data across heterogeneous systems at scale. Experience with other ETL platforms and modern data integration frameworks is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable ETL solutions using SSIS to migrate and consolidate data across multiple source/target databases. • Execute migration strategies for multi-tenant systems, ensuring proper data segregation, consistency, and tenant-level validations. • Build parameterized and reusable SSIS packages to handle diverse migration scenarios. • Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation. • Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to guarantee accuracy and integrity across tenants and systems. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business teams to align migration efforts with system cutovers and business timelines. • Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and ensure high availability and reliability of migration pipelines. • Document migration processes, best practices, and provide knowledge transfer to operational teams. Required Qualifications • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data migration and ETL development. • Proven expertise in SSIS, including complex workflows, transformations, and performance tuning. • Strong SQL Server (T-SQL) development skills with experience across multiple database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). • Demonstrated experience handling multi-tenant architectures with strict data isolation and compliance requirements. • Solid understanding of data modeling, relational databases, and data governance practices. • Track record of leading end-to-end migration projects in enterprise environments. • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills • Experience with automation scripting (Python, PowerShell) for migration tasks. • Knowledge of data warehousing, BI, and reporting in multi-database contexts.
