This role focuses on designing and implementing modern data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, star, snowflake, and data lake architectures. The Senior Data Modeler will support enterprise data initiatives by translating business requirements into scalable, high-quality data models across multiple database platforms. Job Duties & Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement Data Warehouse and Analytical Database structures Work with Business groups and Application teams during pre- and post-assessment phases Write complex SQL queries and develop/executed stored procedures for data analysis Understand business and BI team needs for building Data Warehouses and Data Marts Develop structured and unstructured data models for BI and analytics Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models Work with Application Development teams (e.g., Pega applications) to implement data strategies and data flows Create and optimize logical and physical data models to ensure data quality and reduce redundancy Support data initiative projects across multiple implementation phases Define and enforce naming conventions and data modeling best practices Recommend opportunities for data model reuse in new environments Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from DB2 databases and SQL scripts Evaluate data models and databases for inconsistencies across source systems Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose solutions aligned with client standards Collaborate with IT teams including System Analysts, Engineers, Developers, and BI teams Review and recommend modifications to existing systems to improve efficiency and performance Required Education 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study Required Skills & Experience Data modeling experience for databases including DB2, AWS Redshift, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server (8 years) Experience with data modeling software/tools (6 years) AWS and other cloud systems experience (3 years) Strong SQL and data profiling skills across relational databases (8 years) Experience analyzing: Source databases Source data Referential integrity Data profiling (8 years) Experience building Data Lakes for structured and unstructured data (2 years) Preferred Skills Database tuning techniques (4 years) Exposure to Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse Must-Have Skills AWS; Big Data; Data Modeling; Database Design; PostgreSQL; SQL; SQL Server Arushi Khanna | Associate - Hiring & Recruitment Email: arushi@nsitsolutions.com & Vishal (Victor) Verma | Assistant Manager vishal@nsitsolutions.com NS IT Solutions www.nsitsolutions.com
