Position Overview:The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Domain Data Modeler to support Medicaid and SHBP data initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, and enhancing data models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data modeling, cloud architecture, and SQL, with proven experience in tools such as WhereScape RED/3D, Snowflake, and Validatar.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain data models that accurately reflect business requirements.
Enhance existing data models to improve efficiency, accuracy, and usability.
Perform regular data reconciliation to resolve discrepancies between systems.
Monitor, assess, and improve data quality for consistency and completeness.
Implement and validate business rules to ensure compliance with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with Analytics Managers, Data Scientists, and end users to design data marts that support self-service business queries and visualization.
Support design and modification of the EASE Data Warehouse Solution.
Test and validate changes using Validatar to ensure correctness and consistency.
Create and maintain documentation, training materials, and operational support for BI tools.
Provide expertise in optimizing data models to support health information analytics.
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of data warehouse modeling experience.
Cloud architecture skills (AWS preferred).
3+ years of SQL experience.
2+ years of WhereScape RED/3D experience.
1+ year of Snowflake experience.
Bachelorβs degree in Business Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
High attention to detail, integrity, and strong time management skills.
Experience with tools: WhereScape, Validatar, Snowflake, Jira, Confluence, BOX, AWS, Tableau.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong understanding of data management principles.
Hands-on experience creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Prior business analysis experience.
Results-oriented with the ability to manage challenges and drive completion of deliverables.
Collaborative team player with the ability to build trust and foster cooperation.
