Senior Data Modeler

Title: Senior Data Modeler Work location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid) - Preference: Local to SC or Nearby States Candidates only Contract Mandatory Skills: • 10 years of experience in Data Modeling • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER/Studio • Strong SQL experience • Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL) • Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence concepts • Knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS (S3, Redshift), Snowflake, or Databricks • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and in a team environment Responsibilities: • Define and develop data modeling practices, standards, and guidelines • Create and manage conceptual, logical, and physical data models and metadata by working with stakeholders and others • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business units to capture data needs and translate them into model specifications • Collaborate with the development teams to ensure the database design meets application requirements • Conduct data analysis, and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and consistency • Implement database schema changes and modifications • Document data models, metadata, data flows, and data dictionaries • Provide technical support and guidance to users • Participate in model reviews • Train developers and others in modeling
