Role description
Immediate need for a talented Senior Data Protection Analyst. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in U.S(Remote). Key Responsibilities: β€’ Lead the development and optimization of DLP strategies, including policy creation, tuning, and false-positive reduction β€’ Design and implement data protection controls across multiple platforms and data environments β€’ Enhance enterprise data classification, labelling, and handling processes β€’ Maintain documentation for DLP configurations, policies, and incident response procedures β€’ Investigate and document high-risk or complex DLP alerts and incidents β€’ Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior analysts β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, security, privacy, compliance, and legal β€’ Develop dashboards, metrics, and reporting for risk analysis and control effectiveness β€’ Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements β€’ Monitor and triage DLP alerts β€’ Analyze incidents and recommend remediation actions β€’ Develop workflows and procedures to improve detection accuracy β€’ Work with tools such as DLP platforms, cloud security tools, and data security monitoring systems β€’ Partner with stakeholders to improve data protection posture Key Requirements and Technology Experience: β€’ Key Skills; Minimum 4 years of recent experience in data loss prevention or data protection β€’ 4+ years of experience in data protection, information security, or related domain β€’ Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, insurance, finance) β€’ 4+ years of experience in data protection, information security, or related domain β€’ Experience in regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, insurance, finance) β€’ Strong understanding of data classification, sensitivity, and secure handling practices β€’ Experience designing or optimizing data protection controls and DLP programs β€’ Experience with incident response and DLP alert triaging β€’ Ability to develop metrics, reporting, and automated workflows β€’ Experience mentoring or guiding team members β€’ Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
