Overview Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Senior Data Replication Engineer to lead and support mission-critical data replication initiatives across hybrid environments (on-prem, cloud, and mainframe). This highly technical role involves designing and maintaining robust replication strategies using Qlik Replicate, with an emphasis on real-time and batch data processing, platform migrations, and performance tuning. Key Responsibilities • Design, implement, and support end-to-end data replication strategies using Qlik Replicate across hybrid platforms (AWS, on-premises, and mainframe). • Lead efforts to migrate from on-prem Qlik Replicate to Qlik Cloud, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. • Support and enhance Qlik ARC (Attunity Replicate Connect) solutions and maintain robust mainframe replication capabilities. • Architect and implement real-time and batch replication frameworks, ensuring efficient ETL processes and data integrity. • Administer and support Oracle GoldenGate (23AI preferred) and Oracle Veridata tools for cross-platform replication and data validation. • Monitor and tune replication tasks, databases, and reporting services to maintain high availability and performance. • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of replication architectures, configurations, and procedures. • Conduct root cause analysis and provide resolution for replication-related incidents. • Collaborate with data governance, security, and compliance teams to align replication frameworks with regulatory standards. • Participate in upgrades, patching, and migrations for replication platforms (Qlik, GoldenGate). • Provide daily production support, including proactive monitoring and on-call response. • Mentor and guide junior staff, offering technical leadership across replication and database domains. • Support broader data infrastructure efforts, including virtualized database environments, BI platform integration (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView), and platform scalability planning. Required Qualifications • Associate degree and 7+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in an enterprise data center environment • Experience supporting data replication for mainframes, cloud, and multi-datacenter environments. • Strong expertise with Oracle GoldenGate (23AI) and Veridata. • Demonstrated success designing and maintaining real-time and batch data replication architectures. • Advanced SQL and ETL skills, especially in support of change data capture (CDC) processes. • Knowledge of virtualized environments (VMware) and modern infrastructure automation. • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, and enterprise BI environments. • Experience with ServiceNow, ITIL practices, and SDLC methodologies. • Strong documentation, collaboration, and communication skills. • Available to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as needed. • Certification in Qlik Replicate or Oracle GoldenGate. (Preferred) • Familiarity with database performance monitoring tools and auditing/reporting dashboards. • Exposure to data governance, security standards, and compliance practices in financial institutions. • Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and workstreams independently.
