This role requires hands-on expertise in replication, database administration, and cloud migrations, with responsibilities spanning performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will also provide mentorship to junior staff, oversee critical replication environments, and ensure high availability, security, and data integrity across enterprise systems.Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain data replication strategies using Qlik Replicate across hybrid environments (AWS, on-prem, mainframe) • Support Qlik Cloud migrations and Qlik ARC (Attunity Replicate Connect) solutions • Manage replication performance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis • Provide daily production support for replication environments and SQL Server DBAs • Collaborate with governance/security teams to ensure compliance and data protection • Support upgrades, patching, migrations (Qlik, Oracle Golden Gate) • Maintain documentation of database architecture, standards, and processes • Provide mentorship and on-call production support in a 24/7 rotation • Assist development teams with testing, tuning, and deployment of DB applications • Lead virtualization, capacity planning, and backup/recovery strategies Required Experience • Associate degree + 6 years SQL Server DBA experience in enterprise data centers OR High School Diploma/GED + 10 years SQL Server DBA experience • Minimum 5 years Qlik Replication experience • Minimum 2 years Qlik Cloud experience • Expertise in batch and real-time replication, light ETL, and CDC processes • Experience with SQL Server, AWS, and hybrid replication environments • On-call production support background Preferred Experience • Oracle Golden Gate replication (23AI preferred) • Oracle Veridata comparison tool • Multi-heterogeneous database replication across data centers • Tableau, QlikView, or Power BI reporting tools • VMware virtualized DBs, ServiceNow, ITIL processes, and SDLC familiarity • Certifications in database technologies Required Skills • Qlik Replicate (5+ years) • Qlik Cloud (2+ years) • SQL Server DBA (6-10 years depending on education) • Replication tuning and troubleshooting • Compliance and security collaboration Preferred Skills • Oracle Golden Gate & Veridata • Tableau, Power BI, QlikView • ITIL, ServiceNow, VMware DB virtualization Additional Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to train/mentor staff and collaborate across teams • Effective oral and written communication skills • Capacity to adapt quickly to emerging technologies Benefits • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Plans • 401(k) Retirement Fund About the Client The client is modernizing enterprise data replication and database operations, leveraging Qlik, cloud migrations, and hybrid replication solutions.
