Role description
Duration: 3 Months, Possible Contract to Hire Top Must-Have Skills (Hard Skills) β€’ Extensive experience in interpreting, analyzing, and making recommendations regarding data accuracy and data collection needs and processes. β€’ Strong experience in facilitating reporting efforts using SQL or related data query tools to generate reports or retrieve data from data warehouses and distributed databases. β€’ Proficiency in proactively identifying and implementing improvements to reporting capabilities. β€’ Strong verbal and written communication skills for clarifying business logic. β€’ T-SQL knowledge and experience. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for leading and facilitating the analytics, decision support, and research functions of the assigned department. Key Responsibilities β€’ Create, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for required reporting activities. β€’ Extract, prepare, analyze, validate, and present data for standard and ad hoc reporting. β€’ Interpret and analyze data; make recommendations regarding data accuracy, data collection needs, and processes. β€’ Develop and implement plans to enhance overall unit reporting capabilities. β€’ Facilitate reporting efforts using SQL or other data query tools to retrieve data from data warehouses and distributed databases. β€’ Coordinate with IT on application enhancements and edits to improve data quality. β€’ Mentor peers and co-workers as appropriate. β€’ Lead prioritization and coordination of projects and report development efforts. β€’ Oversee tracking and analysis of audit findings and related report generation. Nice-to-Have Skills β€’ Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling. β€’ Statistical analysis experience. β€’ SnapLogic knowledge and experience. β€’ Tableau knowledge and experience. β€’ Advanced Excel knowledge and experience. Qualifications & Experience β€’ 7+ years of experience in statistical analysis and use of statistical packages. β€’ Additional 3–4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. β€’ Degree in Statistics, Research, Information Systems, or a health services-related field (e.g., Public Health, Health Science, Psychology) with emphasis on analytics, reporting, research evaluation, or experimental design. β€’ Strong writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills. β€’ Strong leadership, process improvement, time management, and project management skills. Technical Skills β€’ Strong expertise in MS Excel. β€’ Experience with relational databases such as MS Access and MS SQL. β€’ Familiarity with reporting tools such as Actuate, Cognos, Crystal Reports, SAS, or similar. β€’ Ability to query data warehouses and departmental systems to fulfill data requests. Other Requirements β€’ Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results within committed timelines. β€’ Ability to estimate work effort accurately. β€’ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications β€’ Master’s degree. β€’ Managed care experience. β€’ Strong database management experience.
