Role description
Title: Senior Data Scientist Duration: 12-month contract to perm Hybrid role: 3 days a week Location: Greenwood Village CO Pay rate: $48-62 per hour A client of Insight Global is seeking a senior‑level Data Scientist with deep expertise in Python‑based analytics, machine learning, and large‑scale data systems to design, develop, and productionize end‑to‑end machine learning solutions. This role is responsible for translating complex business problems into scalable analytics use cases; building, testing, and deploying advanced ML models; developing model scoring code; working with large batch and streaming datasets; partnering with data engineering, platform, and DevOps teams to integrate solutions via CI/CD pipelines; contributing to data architecture decisions involving data warehouses and marts; applying strong logical, mathematical, and analytical reasoning to model evaluation and data quality; synthesizing results into clear insights; communicating recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholders; mentoring others; and continuously expanding technical skills in evolving analytics and ML technologies. Requirements: • Expert‑level Python for advanced analytics and ML (NumPy, Pandas, scikit‑learn, etc.) • Strong understanding of ML model families (regression, decision trees and ensemble methods, clustering, SVMs, neural networks) • Strong foundation in probability, statistics, calculus, and ability to learn additional advanced math concepts • Big data experience (Spark, Hadoop, streaming platforms) • Strong SQL • Experience with ETL / data pipelines • Cloud experience (AWS preferred; GCP/Azure acceptable) • CI/CD pipeline experience • Proven experience deploying and supporting models in production • Bash / Shell scripting
