Position: Senior Data Scientist Industry: Finance Type: 6 months contract-to-hire (2 days/week on-site, remote flexibility) Location (your choice): Evansville, IN / Baltimore, MD / Wilmington, DE / New York, NY / Fort Worth, TX / Irving, TX / Tempe, AZ / Charlotte, NC / Fort Mills, SC Day to day: • Design and execute segmentation and customer analysis to support marketing and acquisition decisions. • Build and refine statistical models to answer core business questions. • Develop analytical frameworks to structure complex or unscoped work. • Use SQL to query, validate, and analyze data across multiple sources. • Partner with marketing and data stakeholders to prioritize, validate, and socialize insights. • Create clear, consumable outputs (decks, summaries, dashboards as needed). • Reduce reliance on ad-hoc analysis by systematizing repeatable analytical approaches. Must haves: • Strong analytical foundation with experience in segmentation, statistical modeling, and structured analysis. • Proven ability to build analytical frameworks from ambiguous business questions. • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. • Experience working with large, complex datasets and drawing actionable insights. • Background in data science or advanced analytics (predictive modeling, experimentation, or similar). • Ability to translate analysis into clear business recommendations. • Independent operator who can ramp quickly and clear analytical backlogs. Salary and Compensation: The hourly rate for this position is between $60 - $75 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
