Role: Senior Data Scientist (LLMs, AI agents, NLP and Conversational AI) Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid - 1 day a week onsite) Job Type: W2 Contract Project Duration: 12 months Job Description This role is critical to our efforts in developing AI-powered chatbot solutions for specialized use cases. Role Overview And Responsibilities • Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in Large Language Models (LLMs), particularly using OpenAI APIs on Azure, and strong Python skills. • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Conversational AI, with hands-on experience in Responsible AI & compliance, and data analysis. • The candidate will collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to build and optimize a shopping assistant chatbot. Responsibilities include prompt engineering, implementing LLM-based agents, ensuring reliability and hallucination prevention, working with A/B testing frameworks, applying Responsible AI principles, conducting EDA, and guiding cloud engineering teams on infrastructure needs. Tech Stack • LLMs: OpenAI APIs on Azure • Languages: Python • Key Tools & Methods: Function Calling, Prompt Engineering, Hallucination Prevention, Responsible AI & Compliance, A/B Testing, Data Analysis Must-Have Skills • Expertise in LLMs. • Advanced Python for AI workflow integration and optimization. • Experience developing AI agents using function calling to interact with external tools/databases. • Understanding of Responsible AI & compliance best practices. • Background in NLP and Conversational AI development.
