Senior Data Scientist – AI Solutions Charlotte, NC – 12+ months Hybrid onsite – 2-3 days in office/remote W2 Rate $98-100/hr – NO CTC NO THIRD PARTY Not seeking LLM – this is a non-LLM AI role and candidates MUST have Presentation skills in front of large audiences Time split: • 65–70% hands-on technical work • 30–35% presenting, stakeholder interaction, and POC ownership Core Technical Requirements (Must-Haves) (65-70%) • 5+ years in experience • Must have experience building AI/ML solutions from scratch • Hands-on coding ability (Python, ML frameworks, etc.) • Experience with Random Forest models • Familiarity with AWS (strong bonus) Strong experience in Machine Learning beyond LLMs, including: • Predictive modeling • Regression / time series • NLP (non-LLM) • Computer vision • Neural networks Presenter / Product Mindset Requirements (30-35%) This role is not just technical — candidates must be comfortable owning ideas end-to-end: • Build and deliver proofs of concept (POCs) • Take high-level ideas from workshops and turn them into working solutions Present results clearly to: • Business stakeholders • Large audiences (70–300 people) • Communicate limitations and risks honestly — not oversell AI
