Senior Data Scientist (Product Analytics) - 6 month FTC (Fixed term contract)
Location: London (Hybrid - once a week onsite)
About the Role: In this role, you'll work closely with product managers, engineers, and machine learning scientists to uncover insights, drive experimentation, and shape key decisions around user experience and product development.
What Youβll Do
β’ Partner with product and engineering teams to identify opportunities, define success metrics, and apply advanced analytics.
β’ Collaborate with ML scientists to assess model performance and inform product direction.
β’ Connect data insights to broader company goals. Influence product and business strategies by being a trusted thought partner and championing a culture of evidence-based decision-making.
β’ Own the full lifecycle of A/B tests, from hypothesis design to rollout recommendations. Use statistical rigor and behavioural analysis to uncover insights and drive impact.
β’ Work with data engineering and platform teams to build scalable, reliable data products. Develop dashboards and tools that empower cross-functional teams to make data-informed decisions.
What Weβre Looking For
β’ Strong experience with SQL and working with large, complex datasets
β’ Proficient in Python, including experience with advanced analytics techniques and evaluating machine learning model outputs
β’ Familiarity with ETL workflows and troubleshooting data issues
β’ Solid understanding of A/B testing principles and causal inference
β’ Experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or similar)
β’ Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex data topics for a range of stakeholders
β’ Commercial awareness and a strong sense of how to balance user needs with business goals
β’ Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
