Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / Product (Amplitude / Mixpanel) β Insurance & Analytics
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel to London
Contract: 6 months (via Umbrella)
π Job Summary
We are seeking strong experience in product analytics, machine learning, and behavioural data modelling.
The role sits within a high-impact analytics function supporting insurance, pensions, and employee benefits domains.
You will work closely with product and business teams to deliver actionable insights using tools such as Amplitude and/or Mixpanel, along with advanced statistical modelling and predictive analytics.
π Key Responsibilities
β’ Build and deploy machine learning and predictive models to support business decision-making
β’ Analyse large-scale behavioural and product datasets using SQL and Python/R
β’ Work with product analytics tools such as Amplitude and/or Mixpanel
β’ Develop dashboards and insights using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams
β’ Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights
π§© Required Skills & Experience
β’ Strong experience in Data Science, Analytics, or similar roles
β’ Advanced SQL skills with large and complex datasets
β’ Proficiency in Python or R
β’ Hands-on experience with Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar product analytics tools
β’ Strong understanding of machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modelling
β’ Experience in insurance, fintech, pensions, or financial services preferred
β’ Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
β Nice to Have
β’ Experience in consulting or client-facing analytics roles
β’ Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments
β’ Knowledge of experimentation / A/B testing frameworks
